With the festive season on its way in, it won’t be long before it’s time to say goodbye to the current year and bring in the new. Different people choose different ways to celebrate the occasion. For some it’s a quiet evening with family and friends that works while for others the new year has to be welcomed with a bang. Either way, given the occasion, celebrations are definitely in order.

A great way to say hello to the New Year is to do it in the mountains. Taking a trip out of the cities, overcrowded and noisy as they are, works wonders for rejuvenation as well. When thinking of the mountains, a great destination is Mussoorie and a sojourn at the Jaypee Residency Manor is the perfect option.

Mussoorie aptly named, the queen of the hills, is lovely in December, the weather being at it’s chilliest best and the ambience being fresh and very relaxing. Jaypee Residency Manor offers 360 degree views of the Himalayas and the breathtaking scenery is stunning to say the least.

The air filled with romance, coupled with the luxury that the Manor offers, both in terms of service and comfort, makes for an absolutely fabulous way to celebrate the year gone by and the one coming in. The rooms are to die for withcomfort and service taken to another level of perfection.

The hotel organizes various activities for guests to be a part of and in a way it’s a great space to mingle with other people and forge new interactions and possible friendships. The mood around New Year is decidedly that of revelry and fun and the happy and festive vibe at the Manor can facilitate and indulge that feeling to the fullest.

There is no question about the fact that food forms a big part of any occasion or party and when it comes to the menu, the spread is expansive and multi-cultural.  The chefs are trained to cook up a storm and the food is literally the highlight of the festivities.  The hotel has six kinds of individual dining options from Terrace Grill, to the Regency to the Marshal’s lounge and everything sort of comes together for the great night.

For the most part the hotel offers facilities and services that are enough for one to not have to step out but if anyone does choose to do the same, there is enough to do in Mussoorie. From a walk down Mall road to a walk around Lal Tibba to reach Chaar Dukaan or a quick visit to Kempty falls, there is something in there for everyone.

If one is there only for the New Year eve though, even a stay at the hotel is enough to make the trip a success. A stay at the Jaypee Manor is actually an experience in itself. There is nothing to beat the relaxed sense and the serenity that the views offer. Coupled that with the festivities of the New Year night, and one has a grand and memorable trip to remember for a long time to come.
